Warbirds: Ludwig Fw-190D-9

[Past] Ludwig once flew with the Jagdgeschwader 2(JG 2) "Richthofen" defending the fatherland from allied attacks though it was a complete failure Ludwig managed to reach his "Ace" status. Total: 74/Heavy Bomber: 24/B-17 claims: 18. After the war he was taken to the UK and placed in a aviation museum where he would spend the rest of his life at, only coming out to perform at Fly Day's and Air Shows.

[Present] Ludwig survived the apocolypse that plagued the Earth for what seemed like a eternity, after the planet recovered Ludwig tried to restart his life by getting in touch with some old comrades of his past; Furcht, Geist, Ulrich, Pierre, Fritz, Hans and Veronica. Though Ludwig had told himself he was done with combat and would like to retire in peace the outbreak of war between the Warbirds and the NextGen managed to rekindle his fighting instincts and he joined up with the Warbirds. Where he rose up the ranks and became 3rd Squadron's Alpha where they primarily patrolled, and engaged targets at high altitude. When NextGen sent in one of their squadrons which primarily had Warthogs and Apaches to try and destroy one of the Warbirds' primary training facility, Ludwig and Hans'(Me-410B-2/U4) squadrons were called in to drive them off. They were successful causing the NextGen to retreat with significant losses thanks to Ludwig's and Hans' tweaked Boom and Zoom tactic. One day while on a patrol through what use to be Belgium during a unexpected weather change Ludwig's wing was struck by a NextGen drone and he crashed. Search parties were dispatched to find him but they were unable to locate him due to interference so they placed Ludwig as MIA until further notice, however during a storm Friedrich and Vasily have a little run in with Ludwig that'll hopefully get the sticken warbird out of his unfortunate predicament and hopefully a transplant will allow this war hero to fly again.


Pretty happy how this came out despite this art block I still got my ability to draw WWII aircraft. Also NOTE: that in this image represents Ludwig before his incident with the Drone when he does get a new wing it will be the same color but it'll look obvious it's not his original.
